Whatever Rihanna wears, sells—even if that’s head-to-toe purple.
The
superstar wore a furry, oversized lilac coat by Marques Almeida, paired
with pink Doc Martens, tons of hairpins, hoop earrings, chokers, a
funny-looking cigarette, and her new fav lip gloss to Coachella this
weekend. And while there’s no word on just how many floor-length purple
furs have sold since Sunday, Refinery29 reports that her matching purple gloss has completely sold out.
The lip color—called “Purple Haze”—came from her close friend Leandra’s indie makeup line, Free Spirits Cosmetics. It retailed for $25 at The Fashion Junkee (before it disappeared from the Internet entirely, that is).

This
isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Rihanna Effect (the Rih-fect, for
short) in action. In addition to selling out stadiums, Rih’s also been
credited for starting (and reigniting) such trends as dressed-up
athletic-wear, bucket hats, sheer tops, and slip dresses. She’s also
been known to try a daring lip, even going blue and green on occasion.

If
you weren’t among the first round of chicks to get their hands on
“Purple Haze,” you’re not totally out of luck—there are plenty of other
options out there to help you achieve Rihanna’s look. We’d suggest
trying NYX Cosmetics Wicked Lippie in “Immortal,” Lime Crime Unicorn Lipstick in “Airborne Unicorn,” and Kat von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in “Wonderchilde.”
